We welcome homeschoolers at ALL of our programs. A number of our facilitators are homeschool families themselves.
Here are the current homeschool-friendly options:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday FOREST SCHOOL and BUSH KINDER (supported drop-off)
All-weather, 2.5-hour, 3-hour or 5.5-hour sessions, running at various times on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. These sessions are designed for children aged 3.5 to 12 years and led by experienced facilitators, with oversight from a trauma-informed, inclusive-practice teacher and ecologist. These are supported drop-off programs, meaning children aged 3.5+ can be dropped off. Children aged 2–3 can attend with an adult caregiver, and siblings under 3.5 can join for free with a supervising adult.
Monday Afternoon YOGA and NATURE PLAY
A beautiful way to start the week — 30 minutes of yoga and 1.5 hours of nature play. This session is designed for homeschoolers who want a balance of movement, mindfulness, and free exploration. The Yoga component is adjusted to the abilities and needs of the participants by an experienced Yoga teacher.
Monday After-school FOREST SKILLS
For children aged 5+ wanting to deepen their connection to nature and grow confidence in bushcraft, tool use, fire safety, and creative outdoor projects. Great for homeschoolers who thrive in hands-on, experiential learning.
Thursday FOREST SKILLS and NATURE PLAY
A mixed-age, family-attended session held at our Base Camp in Ocean Grove/Wallington. Designed for children 0–12, it’s perfect for homeschoolers seeking connection, nature-inspired activities and free play in outdoors. Stay with your child and be part of a gentle, slow-paced morning.
Casual STAY and PLAY Opportunities
You’re always welcome to book a casual spot when sessions aren’t fully booked.
We also have casual 1 to 2-hour Stay and Play options running alongside all of our term programs when you are looking for some time outdoors with a beautiful community in a special outdoor space.
We believe in slow learning, self-direction, curiosity, and connection. If that speaks to your homeschool approach, we’d love to welcome you to Born Wild.
